Surprised that the "Top Gear" guys didn't charter her for their trip to Argentina last year..

That was my first thought - the underwater fight scene in Thunderball.

While I can sometimes notice the guns, and occasionally recognize cars, watches, planes, etc. the bond girls have always been the reason for watching the films. Except for "You Only Live Twice" which had some impressive martial arts...yes I was a giant karate nerd. Of course the bond girls on that film weren't quite up to par with Ursula Andress, Jane Seymour and the rest.

Oh, those beautiful British planes. I can almost imagine some mid level bureaucrat being briefed responding "yes yes, bomb load, all well and good, but is she pretty? I can't very well put my stamp on something that won't give pride to the service."

Absolutely read that with a British accent in my head and it fits beautifully!

Same here, seriously my favorite Connery Bond film.

They must have fired him before he had a chance to look at the Lightning. But I agree the Vulcan is one of the most gorgeous planes ever flown. Like some sort of fearsome creature or wraith that could snatch you up and take you away.

As to Thunderball, Here is the best scene in all of the Bond films:

Mostly agree. Different time, different world. Almost feel like I missed out.

NO s**t, I wished I could have been middle aged during the swinging sixties.

Been a long time since they bombed Stanley. And totally agree... the brits have an interesting eye.
