I have a BRW-S1 Vietnam era magazine. It has passed the test and I truly believe it is the real deal. Can anyone tell me what this may be worth.

I am curious about it too. There have been a number of fake BRW S1 magazines show up the past several years. Most of them ended up being modified CMI magazines. It would really help to see some close-up pics of the magazine and the markings. If it is the real deal, the last time I saw BRW S1 magazines listed for sale, they were priced at $55. That was three months ago. Back in 1999, Fulton Armory posted an article about the USGI BRW S1 M14 20-round magazines (http://www.fulton-armory.com/%5Cfaqs%5CM14-FAQs%5CM14Mags.htm) and, at the time, they said the value of the BRW S1 magazines were between $25-$50 depending on condition. Of course, 16 years have passed since then and we continue to have a shortage of original USGI M14 20-round magazines. It would not be uncommon to see original USGI BRW S1 M14 magazines for around $60-$75 depending on condition. Of course, value all depends on what you can sell it for. If you do have a real original USGI BRW S1 M14 magazine, you are fortunate.

Some of the M-14 magazines had a hole cut in the side of the body with a torch when they were de-milled. If it has been refinished, take a very close look at the magazine body and see if there are any irregular areas that indicate holes were welded up. If it was rewelded and refinished, it is worth between $20 and $25. If it is new in wrapper, it could bring $60 to the right person.
