Wasn't entirely sure which subforum to post this in, if it's wrong I apologize.
I've had a few High Noon leather holsters over the years and found them to be a good holster for the price. I carry a G19 AIWB in a High noon, and carried a an M&P9c before that and a CZ P01 prior to that, all AIWB, mostly in high noon leather, though I had an Archangel for a little while.
Anyhow, in the AZ summer I noticed I wasn't carrying as often as I should. Sometimes I'd throw my wife's PM9 on in a crossbreed holster, but then, even though we were out together, she wasn't carrying, and I don't want her out of the habit. So... long story short, I picked an M&P Shield to make carrying/concealing a little easier and more comfortable in 110+ shorts and a T-shirt.
I went to the Highnoon website and saw that they are making Kydex holsters now and have an Appendix specif holster. I am curious if anyone here has used and/or what your thoughts are?
Except for the Archangel, I've always used leather. I know the shaggy is popular here, and I will look at that too (seems to me a couple years ago that wait times were reeeeaaaallly long). B
Curious your general thoughts on the design and features of this holster. I'm unfamiliar with "RCS(Raven Concealment Systems) tuckable strut and riser" that is used in this holster and the archangel had a full sweat guard, this doesn't... any design pros and cons with that choice?
They offer an "extreme duty" version - http://www.highnoonholsters.com/store/kydex-heavy-duty-holsters/instinct-extreme/
And a medium duty version - http://www.highnoonholsters.com/store/kydex-medium-duty-holsters/instinct-medium/
Besides $10 I'm not sure what the difference is.
Love to hear your thoughts on the holster, and am certainly open to any other suggestions for the Shield in appendix carry. Will 500+ rounds through the shield this week, some stippling if all goes well then look forward to carrying it.
