6.5 - 20 FFP Leupold M4

I can buy one used for $900 or a new 4-16 Vortex for a bit less. 1,000 yard precision rifle (308 and 556) application. Which would you prefer. The Leupold is mil dot rather than TMR and mil adjustments. Thanks!

I would go with the leupold. 1000 is pretty far and I would rather have 20x that I don't use all the time than wish I had more than 16x. Also and this is just me, but I'm betting you could send the leupold in with issues in 20 years and get sorted out. Vortex has a decent rep now but they haven't even been around for 20 let alone 20 more.
