Does any have any information on the ADS? I’ve found very little info on this system. Just checking to see if anyone has used it and if they like it. This link to Clyde Armory is the only thing I’ve found so far. ADS (https://policeguns.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=294_16_280&osCsid=o74e4tfuv5plr2nt4gpqr7nu64)

Thanks

Grant at G&R Tactical handles ADS. Link to a thread (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=7297)

There were some other threads about them but as I'm sure you've already found out, "ADS" is too short for a search term :(

They kind of popped up as a really good value on the lower end of the price spectrum last fall, but haven't heard much else about them. Could be a good thing, given the interweb's love of complaining.

Hope that helps a little.

search "ADS rifle" or "ADS Carbine", etc. There have been 5 or 6 threads concerning ADS guns in the last few months. I am either buying an ADS midlength or a LMT 14.5 from G&R. ADS looks like a good value if you compare it to Rob_s' chart. For me it depends on money...

I've had an ADS carbine for a few months now with nothing bad to report. It's been as solid and reliable as any that only sees range duty. I had a few issues with some minor quality defects, but it being a double digit serial number that would be expected.

The best bang for the buck, so to speak, is to get it through G&R with an upgraded BCG as the factory item leaves much to be desired.

I have an ADS M4 ,the only thing I can fault on mine is the gas key was not properly staked. I staked it and threw the BCG in my spare parts box, than installed a BCM M16 BCG. I always put M16 BCG's in all my AR's. that said it functioned fine as delivered . the fit finish and function is great and the ceramic finish is better than my Colt 6920,and the ADS shoots as well as the Colt. IMHO the ADS is hard to beat at the price . I would highly recomend it .:D

My ADS has failed a functions check and fired on safe. Do I replace parts with another manufacturer since I can't find out anything on Advanced Defense Systems? Thanks

Was there a particular reason that you resurrected a 5 year old thread?

Aawww Gunz,, there is some interest to some of us here. I got two from Grant way back. As the BCG was mentioned as suspect several times, I replaced both with BCM BCG's and they have both been fine, accurate, dependable rifles. Not any down side with my sample of two, and would not hesitate to buy another if in the market.
