Watched it on PBS a few months ago. My eyes kept getting irritated and moist. Having gone through a similar event 19 days before made it pretty personal.

Thanks, going to order it. My dad got 20 something people out.

I saw it on PBS. Facinating...a topic of the war that often gets swept under the rug, but there were some real American (and Vietnamese) heroes in that period.

I saw that when it came on PBS.

Very riveting and a must watch to get a real sense of how the end of that conflict went down.

Parts were hard to watch...having a dad and uncle that were Marines in that conflict. Amazing what they went through.

Rented from Netflix recently and thought it was outstanding!

I recall seeing something similar in the past. I was a C-141 crew chief and worked/flew many of the same C-141s carrying people back from Vietnam.

It was either the last c-141-- or one of the last-- to leave Saigon and the film that I was watching was showing the loading of people and I recognized the tail number as one bird I have worked on and then I saw the name of the Crew Chief painted near the crew entrance door.... and it was a guy that had trained me and I worked with in the past.
