Hopefully I don't rub anyone the wrong way since I have no affiliation, but I had to give this class a shoutout. Scott was my ROTC instructor and the first professional I took a class with and is an awesome guy who knows his stuff. My AAR of his 3 day pistol and carbine class is posted here (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?133150-AAR-Precision-Tactical-Solutions-(PTS)-3-day-pistol-carbine-course-NC). Granted this class wasn't run by CORE who I have no experience with, I know that it will be a great class. Scott's bio can be found on the site but he currently holds a senior position for 1st Special Forces Group's CQB course and he has a lot of time down range running direct action missions. If you're in the area and can afford it, take this course. If I wasn't OCONUS I would probably find a way.

ETA - carbines are welcome and I am trying to find a way to get there, even though it'll be expensive as hell.

You're absolutely right Wake27, Scott is one of the best people you could ever hope to meet and a fantastic instructor. The guy definitely knows his stuff and has "been there, done that". Hopefully you'll be able to make it to this course, let us know if there's anything we can do to help out logistically.

I appreciate the help, I talked to John and he answered a bunch of my questions. Unfortunately my unit has a month long FTX planned over those dates so I'm not getting the leave. I saw Ryan post on FB that there will be more of these though. I'll be at the very next one I can get to.
