When I was a little kid I used to watch F4s flying out of Homestead AFB over my house. I was probably 5 years old when I built my first F4 model. Thankfully at the time I was too young to understand the Cold War significance of F4s in the sky every day, but they were sure fun to watch as a kid. Was always amazed at how fast they could get from one side of the sky to the other.

I work with a retired Marine Corps Col that flew F-4's over Vietnam and he has told me that exact joke before, lol.

Dad was Navy Air, though his squadron was ASW, I spent many an hour out on the flight line watching the fast movers (including those loud, smoky F-4s).
