I have an Iraqi flag that was flying above the Medina Republican Guard command post when we took Baghdad. I want to get it framed but being that it's a decent sized flag, having it unfolded isn't really feasible. Its probably 6 to 8 feet long by 3 feet tall. Ive talked with a couple local picture framing companies and while they said they could do the framing they dont know how to fold flags outside of the standard triangle fold for US flags.
I was thinking I could just tuck back the sides to shrink it down around the center or the flag, but there is some fraying along the edges that I think would be cool to show. Does anyone know anything about folding flags for display? Are there certain folds to show off certain parts of the flag? Is that even a thing?
