I have a Sig 226, M11-A1 and a 239 but I need some info from a Sig 220.

It needs to have standard grips and the Short Reach Trigger, not just the short reset trigger.

I need the length of pull measured from the narrowest part of backstrap and the curve of the trigger.

Just like this photo, at yellow marker. All of my Sigs have the Short Reach Trigger for my short fingers.

If you can measure with trigger at rest and slightly back where it hits the wall in DA mode. 2 measurements.

Thanks for any and all help. Much appreciated.

Does nobody shoot the Sig P 220 anymore? More into the Sig 227 of just not 45acp at all except for a 1911.

I have a 229 with a short reach and reset. The pull and feel was not near as good as my 25 year old 226. I put a lighter hammer spring in it and wow it is worlds better.

Anyway, I don't know if I can help you with my 229 but if you think it would help I could measure it.

We have a 220 elite at work on the range. Not sure if it has the short reach trigger but I will check friday and if so, post measurements.

I've carried a P220 for a decade, but it doesn't have a short reach trigger. Sorry.

KCBRUIN, If you would, go ahead and measure your 220 and maybe I can do some cyphering with your measurement.

Thanks.

Got it for ya:

2.875" with trigger at forward most position
2.75" with the takeup removed

Also the p220 is a thinner gun than either of yours so the same LOP will still feel different in hand.

What part of TX are you in?

Denison in North Grayson County Texas

You know, That is about the exactly the same LOP I got off the 226 and M-11A1. Then the obvious difference is the width, slimmer like my Sig 239 is. It have about the same lop also, but all have the Short Reach Trigger and SRT except the 239. It has the Short Reach Trigger Only.

Thanks jhr1986 Where do you hang your hat in Texas

If I am recalling this correctly, the p220 grip is somewhere between that of the 239 and 226. I should have thought to throw some calipers on the three, I'll do it tomorrow just for grins.

I'm in Fort Worth, so not too terribly far from you.

Mine's been gone ten years or more, but just fired up the Dremel and modified my 220's trigger. Better, but I still couldn't hit diddly with it.
