SPR optic

I'd like to do an SPR-type build (18" barrel). What would be a good optic, under $1500? I'd like more top-end magnification than 10X.

bushnell hdmr/ers, burris xtr ii, vortex pst or 1st gen razor, swfa 3-15 or HD 5-20 all are at or under your budget; leupold mk 6 3-18 with tmr reticle is close to your budget as well

How much more mag than 10x? Need illumination? Does that $1500 include the mount?

I like jhr's suggestion for the SWFA 3-15 (http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-3-15x42-Tactical-Rifle-Scope-P62238.aspx) or 5-20 (http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-HD-5-20x50-Tactical-30mm-Riflescope-P51653.aspx).

I would also throw in the Bushnell Elite 3-12x44 G2 DMR (http://cstactical.com/optics/rifle-scopes/bushnell/elite-tactical/1331/bushnell-elite-tactical-3-12x44-ffp-g2-dmr-matte-black.html) as an alternative to the larger/heavier HDMR.

12X or 15X. Cost for mount not included.

I have the SS 5-20 for my AR10. Awesome scope! I'm more comfortable with "rugged" optics like it, so i'm doubtful of the PST line.

So far of the ones nominated here, the Bushnell G2 DMR, Burris XTR II, and SS 3-15 are in line with what I'm looking for. Thanks!
