Glock 17 Mags in Glock 19s?

I'm thinking about picking up a Glock 19 this month to fill the gap between my 5" 1911s and Beretta Brigadiers. On occasion, I'd like something high cap but easier to carry than a Beretta yet lighter than a 1911, and the G19 seems to fit the bill. At my LGS, I can get all the Glock 17 mags I could possibly want at a price that matches the best internet prices I see. Does anyone ever have issues running Glock 17 mags in the Glock 19? I hear sometimes that people will carry a G19 mag in the gun but G17 mags as spares, and I was wondering how that works out for them.

They work fine, nothing to worry about.
I actually have just a few glock 19 mags, all the others are g17 mags

They have worked great for me, I use OEM and Magpul G17 mags in my 19.

I carry my Glock 19 with a G19 mag with a Vickers/TangoDown base plate and a spare G17 with a Arredondo +6 base extension. No issues.

I carry my 19 with a 19 mag in the gun and a 17 (factory and magpul) mag as a spare. No issues.

Thats the beauty of the midsize (G19 size) guns: compatability with midsize and fullsize mags.

Yes. Even from me, I'm not a Glock guy, full size mags work perfectly in the 19. Same with 22 mags in the 23.

I did this just this afternoon. And the G19 will take the 33round mag just for shits.

I understand "compatible", and have owned a Glock before. I've also watched Glock 17s choke with the 33 round mags at 3 Gun. "Compatible" is not always "optimal". Glad to see it will work. Thanks for all the help.
