Due to users saying they anticipate having to shoot indoors or near cover, we now regularly do testing in confined spaces. Note that the results are not comparable to open-field testing and may differ by a few dB. In any case, never compare one test to another test done at a different time/place.

This appears to be nice work in all regards (from data collection to video production). I 'm not getting into the whole "this can is better than that can" drama, but suffice it to say AAC, Surefire and Ops Inc all make very good cans. Buy what you like, and know why you did.

I don't know why some of us have such a hard time convincing fellow LEOs in our department to equip themselves with suppressors for their ARs. I know cost is an issue as it comes straight from the officer's pocket in our department. However, I enjoy shooting suppressed much more than unsuppressed. Furthermore, I can't help but think it would be easier to stay focused and in the fight when you're not getting near as much auditory impact from the weapon discharge. It is hard for me to imagine how disorienting or distracting unsuppressed AR fire would be in a house, school hallway or otherwise anechoic environment.

Thanks for sharing this.
