Learned something new about my 5 year old Eotech today.

So after having owned this Eotech 512 for over 5-6 years that I bought used, today I realized that if you hold both the up/down brightness adjustment buttons at the same time, it completely turns the unit off. This entire time I have been using the down/dimmer button to fully turn it off each time and double checking to make sure it was fully off and not just on a dim setting/mode. I noticed this after looking at the buttons on the back and noticing a line for the word off going to both buttons, so I took an educated guess at what could possibly happen.

Just wanted to share that my revelation of the day, that is all, haha.

I take it that your eotech didn't come with an instruction manual?

Definitely did not. Came as the unit only. It also lived its entire life behind a magnifier, so I never paid much attention to the buttons that were on the back of the sight.
