Hi all,

Been having an issue with my 550 and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction? I'm loading 223 and when the case goes up it is quite often off center to the point I have to guide the case into the powder die or it gets caught on the edge of the opening causing it to hang up and dump the powder everywhere. Its been like that for the last 100 or so rounds and then today I noticed the case was also getting off center for the sizing die too. What adjustment do I need to make to correct for this?

Thanks in advance.

Observe the tension of the shellplate bolt, it may be a small bit loose. See if there is slack in it. It should be tightened down until it just stops with your fingers. Pull the shell plate and clean. since you have been spilling powder there will be some under the plate.

Thanks, that did the trick. I must not have snugged it down properly when I changed from 9mm.
