Glock 21 SF ambi mag release issues

I have an older 21SF with the ambi mag release and have been having issues with the mag release. It is almost impossible to depress the release to drop a loaded mag which makes tac reloads hard to do. Even with an empty mag the release is not smooth and takes more force than my 19. Sometimes the release will stick in the frame also. Will Glock replace the frame with a regular Gen 3 SF frame? I'd like to keep my slide since it has the old "frying pan" finish.

This particular frame with the ambi-mag release was discontinued at least two years ago i believe. The fix is a new frame (Gen 3 SF) which Glock will do gratis.
