Anyone have experience with it? How do you like the Zebra wood grips?

There isn't a lot of love here for Kimber products. My Stainless II never gave me any issues but it was a range gun and never really pushed hard.

Everything I have seen and heard about kimbers is they are hit and miss. You either get one that runs or a problem child.
For the price range there are much better options out there

Yeah what they said...I've owned 3 Kimbers, only have one now that I use for a range beater(TLE). Constant feeding issues with the other 2. For the price get a Springer, they make a decent 1911.

Ditto to the above. I have a Kimber CDP II that I've only had issues with while using one of my 10 round magazines (I chalk that up to the magazine), but it's only a range toy. It hasn't been run hard, but it's probably had around 1000 rounds through it with no issues except when using that 10 round mag. I like the gun, and it's been reliable for me, but if I had to do it over again, I'd likely go with a Springfield or Colt for the price and reputation.

If you just want a range toy, I would say buy it. There are much better 1911's out there though.
