What hollow points have the biggest mushrooming effect?

What would you recommend? What would you advise me to stay away from.

This will be for my CCW pistol.

I'll lead turn the inevitable "do a search" crowd and ask the question: Is there a specific reason you're looking for "mushrooming effect", or are you simply looking for the most effective 9mm defensive round?

If it's the latter, I'd recommend any of the premium JHP rounds in a common brand which feed reliably in your pistol. The difference between different premium JHP rounds is probably not so pronounced as to be the difference between life and death in a defensive shooting. Obviously, there is no magical "silver bullet" load that will drop the target every single time without a follow up shot (or shots). But a round that doesn't feed and eject reliably in your pistol will be a matter of life and death if you ever have to use your CCW.

Here is a link (https://www.ar15.com/ammo/project/Self_Defense_Ammo_FAQ/) to get you started with ammo selection. It's easy to over-think it, so just remember, a good brand of factory JHP which feeds reliably is paramount.

What pistol will you carry for CCW? Barrel length can be a determining factor in ammunition selection.

9mm??

If Mushroom Effect is what you're looking for, 10mm is what you want...

(LOL... I never thought I'd be one of those "use the search function" guys, but seriously, homey... is you for real?)
