Just noticed the Geissele Mk7 rail, but found little in the way of reviews on it. Clearly it's a solid product, but has anyone used it on a fighting gun setup? I would think it would be one of the most solid quad-rail options out there.

It's a beast. Heavy as heck. I don't know the exact weight, but I wouldn't want to use one outside of competition. I do like the one I have installed on my national match rifle. So much nicer than the float tube and plastic handguards.

Fighting what??? Obesity... Yep.. That lead and steel lined quad rail would fight good. Fight good to slow the man down that has to carry it!

The weights within the rail are removable.

It doesn't come with any weights, either. Unless you consider the sling swivel bar since it runs in the bottom slot, but it's not made of lead.

Even without weights it's still an anchor.
