Very Nice!!!! How does the Kotonics upper shoot as far as accuracy and function. From what I hear they are the best with the upgraded chamber, etc.

Thanks!

I actually haven't shot it yet... :o I hope to within the next week or so. I heard nothing but good stuff about the kotonics, though, so I have high expectations. lol

Did your feedramps actually end up flusing out, or did you grind them down to flush them out yourself?
EVERY Kotonics bbl I've seen, has such shallow cut feedramps, that I couldn't get them to line up with ANYONE's upper receiver M4 ramps.
It would have taken me so much grinding, I just passed on those bbls.
How did yours work out? Do you have a good, up close/detailed pic of those feedramps?

The sun devil upper did not have feedramps at all. I used a dremel and contoured it to match the feedramps.

It was feeding the rounds before I did anything, but was scratching/marring them up pretty badly. Now it feeds great.

Being a follower of 6.8 SPC but not knowing anything about the AR build process, does anyone know or have experience with the reliability and shootability of Barret's 6.8 SPC carbines?????

http://www.barrettrifles.com/rifle_rec7.aspx

It of course looks a little pricey at $2,599, but if I go for a 6.8 SPC AR, I just need to be able to buy a complete rifle as reliable as my Colt LE M4.

at: by the way, love how yours turned out, especially that Leoupold optic (it's the only choice for me beyond 3x)

at4rxj: check AR15.com and 68forums.com............Cardinal is having issues with a few barrels not having proper chrome (barrel inner dimensions). I slugged mine and it looks to be OK. The issue is only with the SSA Combat loads.

I will be getting some Combat loads and shooting about 3 rounds, look at the cases very carefully, if OK keep shooting, if not, I will pull bullets and load a milder load.

ran 10 SSA combat 115 OTM loads, no problems whatsoever. No marks on the cases at all. I have a good barrel!!

how did grind your own feedramps? I bought a stag upper and spikes lower at the gun show it shoots the hornady v-max bullets fine but tried remington 115 mc jams at the feeding ramps every time.. tipped bullets worked fine.. even reloaded 110gr sierra prohunters and they jamed too.. can you file them in with a round too.?????

My upper did not have M4 ramps, but the barrel did. I used my dremel and went very slowly until they matched. I plugged the chamber with a rag, and blew everything out with my compressor afterwards.
