I have 1000 RG, 550 FNB and 150 ADI 5.56 brass cases that I have cleaned. I remember seeing a list somewhere of the different manufacturers case capacities, anyone know where that might be or should I not worry about it?

Cheers

Weigh them. If they are 92-94grs don't worry about it. If they are more than 100 grains worry about it.

I just look at the powder charges in the case. I can easily spot PMP brass on my press as the powder level sits noticeably higher in the case, for example.

Really just talks about .223 not 5.56, but the bit where the case weight affects the powder available is good.

Yeah, I think I'll comopare them all and if they weigh the same I'll just forget about it.

Yeah, I think if you weighed them, they would be different as well...why don't you try it and let me know.

It's the same cartridge. The chambers are different but the cartridges in themselves are the same.

I just found one and loaded it. If I spot another soon, I'll try weighing it. This relationship does hold up for 300 WM brass for sure however.

Looking at Molon's chart:

Am I correct in thinking, shooting practice loads at the range of 55/62gr, I really don't need to worry about the differences within reason if I'm not loading the HOT HOT HOT loads, but when I'm getting specific for quality loads I should cronograph them all and pay attention.

I will crono them all for interest sake though I reckon
