I have several Glocks in 9mm, and know that the Gen 4's grips are shorter back to front than Gen 3's.
For large frame Glocks (.45 ACP and 10mm), which has the smaller grip - the Gen 3 SF's, or the Gen 4's?

Gen 3 SF = Gen 4 without backstraps

^ Indeed. Went through the whole process of comparing G20's in Gen3, Gen3 SF and Gen4 a while back. SF and 4 are the same.

I had a G20 gen 3 SF and a gen 4 at the same time.

The gen 4 just felt better in the hand and is still around.

When I went through the armorer class they said the SF was the same as the Gen 4 and they use the same trigger assembly. The rest of the Gen 3 guns have a larger trigger assembly that won't fit the Gen 4 and SF models.
