I used the search function.....I really did...and I'm not going to plow through a bunch of threads going back to 2009. That's six years ago.

Those of you who are Glocksters and are up-to-date on their reliability, durability, and tendencies toward brass-to-face: are the Glocks (particuarly 9mm) good-to-go in their 4th Generation config now, or is the pistol still plagued by issues?

Curious thread for a dude with your username.

All my (10+) Gen 4 Glocks have been just fine. 9,40,45,10.

I have two friends and one family member (cousin) that have purchased Gen4 G17s or G19s in the last year or so.

None of them have reported any troubles and I shot my cousin's Gen4 G19 and it fed, fired and ejected just fine. No brass to face. Ran several boxes through it, too.

Granted this is a small sample but it got me thinking about picking up another G17 soon...and a Gen4 at that.

YMMV...

I'm old school and all mine are Gen3 or earlier.

I have a G19 in SN VAPXXX that has over 3k rounds no issues at all, really strong consistent ejection. Also a brand new ZUUXXX that has about 300 through with obviously nothing wrong but a very small amount of rounds through. I can tell you that the VAPXXX is more accurate than the ZUUXXX side by side with the same bulk ammo I have. Magtech 115gr if I recall correctly.

I've had/have Gen 4 17s, 19s, 21s, 22s, 23s, 26s, 27s, 34s, and 41s. All with zero issues (a couple over 10k, a couple over 5), all with no BTF unless it bounced off something first.

Just purchased a gen4 g19 and g42. Both have ran well with no issues. Just put my stormlake barrel in the g19 and headed to the range now to test.

Both guns are stock.

Normally new threads aren't an issue as they allow a refresh of ideas and new members add content. However, there are sooooo many thread on Glocks, the gen4, including some specifically asking "are they okay now" that this one isn't needed. Check out those threads, new purchase reviews from members, and bump them as needed. Thanks.
