View Full Version : Trying to love the Glock 26, also the right holster

I bought my 26 when they were first out.

As small as you could get your ten rounds was all the rage.

I just hated the small grip.

I tried the pierce plus zero mag base, but still no place for my pinky.

I tried the Sleeve on 19 mags and did not like how much play when shooting.

After AWB sunset I tried the Glock plus two and pierce plus threes and find the grip tolerable.

I just carried when I could conceal a 19 or larger.

I now carry more and use the 26 more.

However, the type of holster I like, for IWB, bugs me.

Mine is too thin and flimsy a thickness of kydex.

When looking at other brands, I also find it very common to have I design I do not like. The bottom of the trigger guard is exposed.

I prefer it to be enclosed.

While you can't help me love the 26,
And I do not like anything smaller and slimmer I have found,
It is pretty much serving and going to serve me as my least hard to conceal CCW gun.

If you can point me in the direction of an IWB with the enclosed trigger guard in similar style, I would appreciate it.

Raven Concealment has a semi enclosed trigger guard and can be setup for IWB.

+1 on the Raven also have you looked at cross breed. Not sure if it is something your willing to do but I have shot a buddys 26 that had the trigger guard undercut a little and it made a huge difference for me compared to my wife's 26 (she won't let me grind on her gun).

I have one of these by FIST K8 Tuckable been running it since 2010 and now an Eaton Tactical innovation for a 43 The Eaton wraps around the trigger guard but still has a split slightly exposing the trigger guard. Both of these holsters have been flawless for me.

I use Zorn Holsters for all my Glocks. They have a bunch of standard "quick ship" holsters that you will ship in a couple days. I don't have the patience to wait 8-10 weeks like the custom makers. They're a small company out of Arizona but they are by far the best quality kydex holster I've used. The kydex is significantly thicker than any other that I've seen and the gun is totally secure in the rig. The retention is adjustable as well. The trigger guard is just about completely covered.

They have a 30 day try-out period so you can send it back for a refund if you aren't happy. The owner will email back and forth with you to help you get exactly what you want too.

I use their "Skinny Rig" for AIWB.

That is a great product, but prefer the minimal size and shape ones.

26 vs 19

In the end the only time I prefer the 26 is when I'm on the motorcycle and it's in my backpack.

Look here..you will not be disappointed. Not all Kydex "makers" are created equal.
