Police tipped off that a personal trainer, that looks vaguely like an unfit and older Will Brink, is impersonating a Federal Marshal. They follow him, then arrest him on traffic violations. They find he has a fake badge, emergency lights, a regular AR-15 with 3 loaded 30rd mags, and a .380 pistol. They go to his house and find 8000+ rds of ammo, more fake badges and IDs, and more guns.

What's this guy thinking, putting a cheap red dot on the front rail?!

Shouldn't that be mounted on the receiver?

I wouldn't even put my Aimpoint on my front quad rail....no matter what mount you have.

1st of all....Police impersonation is lame and diminishes an already outcast vocation

2. The 'Federal Agent' rail cover looks way lame. Like not even a 10 yo airsoft nerd would use that.

3. He looks more like Eldon Hoke AKA El Duce from the Mentors to me.

I just like how his "firepower" was immediately compared to that of the cali jihadis... "no anti american or terrorist literature was found in the home" I guess all of us gun owners are now potential terrorist suspects..... Murica'

I was just thinking about how if any media went into an of our homes they would have a panic attack and call us all insane for our "arsenals."

I'm not excusing this guys idiocy for impersonating a police officer, what a dumb ass, but before the "safe" act almost all of what he had was legal. So glad I'm out of that state and can freely drive around with an AR if I want to now.

That is a good start. Keep it up and one day you might just have an honest arsenal. ;)

That said, I want details of the SVD looking rifle on the far left of the first picture. I don't take you for buying a POS look alike so I expect it to be something of high quality and well out of my price range, but I would like to know more regardless.

As for the Fall Guy, man that show was a bad influence. It made me think jumping from the roof would be a good idea (it wasn't)

ETA that Dragunov looking gun is a PSL. They weren't too bad. I had one 11 years ago. It grouped...not supee accurate but fun enough accurate. Regret selling it despite it only liking that one particular load of Wolf ammo.

Well that's just the contents of two safes when I had to move them. That's hardly everything. Most of my NFA stuff isn't in the picture, none of my WWI / WWII stuff, none of my handguns. That isn't even half of it.

As for the SVD looking rifle, it's just a PSL. I was getting so many Mosin / Nagants that I could finally justify the purchase. Looks like they are now going for well over $1000 a rifle and I think I paid $500 so I did ok. But probably not going to grab a true Druganov, prices are too insane for a 7.62x54R rifle.

That's what I'm wondering. Lots of guns? Cool. I'd be interested to see the mainframe bank of DVD burners.

As for the original topic; I'm sure "NY man" will eventually make a statement along the lines of "I'm so deep my organization won't claim me".

That two safes? You don't jam them in there like some I know. Which is probably a good thing. I know guys with 48 gun safes that have managed quite a bit more than that when getting creative. I would honestly say I know a few who might give you a run for more guns, but knowing some of the NFA things you have, I think you'd beat most of them handily there, with the exception of one who sticks in my head. He though... I would love to get some pictures of his basement, because I got the tour one afternoon and he has stuff that I know there are less than a handful out there.

I recently achieved the "I can no longer fit all my guns in one safe" achievement. To think I used to be able to keep all my guns, mags, and ammo, as well as a few knives and jewelry in the safe, with room to spare. Now I can't get all my guns in there.

One of the nicer looking PSLs then, most I have seen look like a T72 ran it over. At least the ones I always saw. And yes, for KAC pricing SVD are well into the high end collector market, it is a sad thing in my opinion, they are interesting rifle. I should have picked one up of the PSL when they were $500 but I was more interested, and really still am, in handguns. I think it came down to a few mosins and a PSL or my P7M8, I bought the P7. I just now got into mil surp rifles, kinda, sorry I slow to trends. And it wasn't lack of appreciation, just too many other fire arm interests. Am going to take an afternoon at an auction Saturday to see if I can add some more to my first milsurp a yugo mauser.

Also, the 8k+ rounds they want to scream about. Umm, how many here have shot at least twice that many this year alone? (Raises hand).

If you grabbed a P7M8 (sure it wasn't a PSP?) for $500 you grabbed the better deal.

And yeah, I definitely have a game of tetris going on in my safes.

I wish I paid $500 for my P7M8. At the time I think I could have done the PSL and half a dozen mosins for what I paid for the P7M8 new, with 4 mags, and a case of 9mm, and extras the extras were pretty neat. It was at the time one of my grail guns, the P7M13 is still on the list by the way. Wouldn't mind a P7M10 just for the hell of it, but damn the slide on those are freaking boat anchors. I am honestly happy with my pistol though, I think I enjoy it more than I would having seven or eight rifles.

LoL. When I used to store ammo on one side of the bottom of my safe tetris would have been an apt description. I have friends who watched me spend 20 minutes rearranging boxes of ammo trying to fit in the three boxes I just bought. This was before I learned and just bought ammo cans.

I've often pondered what headlines would be cooked up about me if/when they come for me. I have a war trophy that a great uncle of mine brought brought home from WWII. It's a Nazi swallow tailed banner he took down from a school house in Holland. I have it folded and locked up in one of my safes. I can see it now, "Gun Hoard Discovered in Nazi's Home" or something to that effect.

I think some variation of this is true for any of us. (No, I personally don't have anything Nazi.) Whenever there's any kind of news report about an "arsenal" I take it with a huge grain of salt, and assume it's more along the lines of "grumpy old man who used to collect guns is targeted by arch-nemesis code inspector in lawn-watering dispute."

Most gun crimes seem to be committed by people who own either one gun (which they use in crime) or zero guns (for many gang members, who share a gang stash of a couple guns). As the number of guns owned goes up, the probability of the person committing a gun-related crime goes down, very fast. People with lots of guns are law-abiding people who happen to like guns. Violent criminals are not collectors.

Wait....are you trying to tell me that people with several thousands of dollars, sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars aren't the same people robbing 7-11s and doing drive by shootings?

You want to make an honest person out of someone, let them become the owner of a registered machine gun. Nothing like have $20,000 tied up into something you would immediately lose if you committed a crime.

As hard as it may be to believe - yes.

Also, a lot of gun owners who don't commit crimes happen to be conservative white males who've been continually employed since their teenage years. Some of them are even in old-fashioned hetero marriages, and - unbelievably - possibly even to the first woman they married.

You won't see this on the evening news.
