Got some scratch marks on my FH from it being a pain to mount. What do you guys suggest for touching up some shiny eye sores on the basic black finish of an AR?

I was thinking about just hitting it with some black Krylon for the quick fix, but thought I'd ask the pros.;)

Birchwood Casey Aluma-Black or Birchwood Casey Perma-Blue will work the Alum-Black will be 'blacker'.

I've actually had good service were the flash hider was degreased and finished with Aluma-Hyde II. A plus is any carbon residue wipes right off if there's any at all.

about 2000 rounds down range should work.

I try to never let this stuff bother me, but when in doubt the black sharpie has never failed me either.

Ok, I'm not real big on babying stuff, but it was just too damn shiny. Hit it with the krylon today...problem solved. :p
