I'd say this fits into survival...

About a year ago my seatbelt latch quit working. I fixed it with 550 cord and a carabiner. PITA to loop the seatbelt through the carabiner every time, but I'm glad I did. I passed out last night while driving. (they still don't know why, but my PB was very low.) Took out a utility pole, and caved in the side of a warehouse to a seed company. My 550 cord mod held!

My beautiful 550 cord modification that held me in safe:

Genuine 550 cord is serious business. :)

Glad you're still kicking!

Climbing 'biners are hell for stout, and looped 550 will hold up a horse. Glad you're alright.
(And unless this was a field expedient repair, while you were waiting for the UPS truck, let's all make sure we're not running around with jerryrigged safety equipment. Go get an actual replacement part! You know good and well you'd never let a loved one drive around like that, so use the same rules for yourself)

Good to hear you're alright, and that the field-expedient fix kept you that way.

So glad you're ok. Get help finding the source of the syncope...could be more dangerous than the pole and building.

I'd say that Fab Fours front steel bumper helped a bit, as well!!!!

It's a Road Armor bumper, but yeah, it sure as hell did it's job.
