http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XSTSB51606ML&name=Spike%27s+Tactical+16%22+ST-FN+CHF+5.56+Barrel+w%2f+pinned+Mid-Length+LPGB&groupid=2098I have a few questions about this barrel I hope you pros here could answer.

1. Is it a good barrel? The specs seem great to me.

2. What can I expect out of it accuracy wise?

3. Does the barrel come pre pinned? I don't want to drill the barrel at all, but I do want a pinned gas block. (I don't mind un pinning it I just want the barrel already pinned)

Thanks for all the replies I will be posting a lot here soon with questions. This is my first build and don't want to dick it up. Thanks again!!!!!

Just to set your expectations, Spikes does not get a lot of love here...

With that said, I have multiple BCMs (bfh and standard), a Daniel Defense and a Spikes.

The Spike's is my most accurate.

Fair enough thanks for the heads up.

It is a barrel made for Spike's by FN.
I have never had any problems with FN CHF barrels.
I just don't like spiders crawling all over my guns.

I'll bet the PSA version is $100+ cheaper. http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/id/10141/

Yes, but it doesn't come with a pinned gas block.

My 16" rifle is running one of the first run Spike's CHF "optimum-profile" mid-length barrels from a few years ago and the thing shoots great after thousands of rounds through it. It's the 2nd most accurate AR barrel I've owned (first place goes to my Rainier Ultramatch). Buy with confidence IMHO.
