My wife has expressed interest in a Camelbak type of pack to use on long runs or half marathons. I have no experience with one and was wondering if others had? It would need to be secure for running and have enough room for snack bars, phone, keys, and a subcompact. I'm also wondering if store brands are good enough (Cabela's or REI) or should I stick with Camelbak or Kelty?
I'm not sure if this is the best place for this or the Fitness and Nutrition subforum.
Also look at some of Source's offerings, too. I personally prefer Source bladders to Camelbak's.
Have you looked here? http://www.camelbak.com/en/International/Sports-Recreation/Packs.aspx?packtype=run
I've used the camelbak mule NV for adventure racing with good success.
I've used camelbak, platypus, and packs from lowe alpine and north face with their own bladders. All worked well. The north face brand did have issues with the hose binding up though. You can buy almost any size pack to suit your needs.

Thanks, I'm figuring minimalist size for her needs.
Geigerrig has some great hydration bladders.
They can be pressurized. I dig it.
