There are bound to be folks here who like me have bought a DD upper instead of a complete rifle.

At the moment I am thinking about what lower I want to use for this build...I know that from a technical standpoint it does not matter, but I am also looking at from an aesthetic standpoint to satisfy my OCD .

Nothing different about DD upper receivers.
A quick search shows: https://www.m4carbine.net/google.php?cx=010536845846440650985%3Aridd3_u3s3i&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Which+lower&sa.x=0&sa.y=0&sa=Search&siteurl=www.m4carbine.net%2Fsearch.php%3Fsearchid%3D1320863&ref=&ss=3680j1983788j11

I went wth this one. Aero Precision has some really nice lowers with the tension screw.

It is hard to beat the deal on assembled BCM blemished lowers. You would have a solid, reliable rifle putting those two together. Build something that works and is going to last. If the mismatch in finish is too much for you it is a great excuse to krylon/cerakote/hydro-dip that bad boy.

LMT defender complete lower on most of mine, including one DD upper. Can't build better for $300 at my LGS

Great choice too. They are awesome with the two state trigger and SOPMOD stock.

LMT defender complete lower with two stage is a sleeper deal. I have one and love it. If you like two stage triggers its hard to beat... I've compared mine to various geisele SSx options on other rifles and prefer the LMT for carbines.

But some do not like two stage though.

The plain LMT trigger is a decent milspec, but I am going to swap in an ACT to see how it compares

Right now I have the cheapest RRA poly lower I could put together under my 300blk in pistol configuration.

Sent via telegraph with the same fingers I use to sip whiskey.

I used Rainier Arms previous version of their complete lower since it was configured with parts I would've used anyway.

Aero Precision. I have a V11 upper on one and it fits great!

I've used Aero, Noveske and a CMMG with a DD upper. That said, pick the picture you like on a lower known for quality and you can't go wrong :)

With the great deals available on BCM cos blem lowers, no reason to go with anything else.

Sold out! Man, what a great deal!

That BCM lower grup will go for $600+ once the AWB talk gets going next year.

I missed out on the 259 BCM blem from rainier arms, but I have my DD upper on an Aero lower with DD LPK and BCM RE, works great but what I'd really want is DD to offer separate lowers. Even stripped lowers would be awesome I'd buy a couple or more.

Grant was selling them for $239 shipped (I believe) with stock on Black Friday. Picked one up myself, looks great!

I got an email today from Ranier; they have a Christmas sale going and BCM Blem lowers were $259. They might still have them.

So after much debate I decided to go with a Noveske gen III billet. I didn't want to pay that premium, but I like Noveske...for now it will reside on a RRA pistol lower I have.

I did try this upper on a buddies GenIII SBR lower, and one of the things that bothers my O.C.D. is shown in the photo below where the red arrows are. The machined areas on the upper and lower don't exactly line up. I know, I know...laugh it up but O.C.D.is a terrible thing to live with.

Find someone on Armslist selling a new DD rifle reasonable that's been posted for awhile & offer to buy the lower only. Sometimes you get lucky. 350-450.00 usually can buy one

I'm OCD, I scored a DD M4V5LW URG several years ago from Aim for $750, got a complete DD lower from G&R and had a hell of nice rifle for just a little over $1K.
