are there ?

please name names, and give a URL to the company's site

and who on the M4 Carbine.net has one ?

why did you choose the one you bought ?

if you had it to do over would you choose differently ?

is there a consensus of which one is best, most reliable, accurate ?

i own two Ciener kits, they function best in my Colt SP-1s, but i want a carbine length (M4) to shoot with out fumbling with changing carriers with a "kit", the upper will be attached to a lower that will be my "dedicated" AR-15 .22 cal. rifle/carbine.., i also prefer the full size magazines and not that dorky looking "Slim Jim" stick protruding from the mag. well.

thank you all in advance for your input :)

I have a dedicated .22LR upper, built for me by G&R Tactical (http://www.gandrtactical.com/) using Tactical Solution's (http://www.tacticalsol.com/) bolt and barrel. It uses the full-size Black Dog Machine magazines, so no snapping into slim-jims for me either.

I chose it over others mostly due to the timing and the ability of G&R to get it set-up just how I wanted. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

I haven't shot it enough to give an extensive report, but I did post some pictures and results from it's first range trip here. (https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=17682)

There are others, much more qualified than me, that are running Tac-Sol .22 uppers and I'm sure they'll be along shortly to pass along good info. If not there are several threads on them floating around.

Hope that helps.

I purchased a Spike's Tactical (http://spikestactical.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=122) 22LR upper.

I chose the lightweight barrel profile (Model1 Sales barrel, they are offering a upgrade to Lothar Walther barrel, but the wait time is unknown):

I've shot 3 Federal Bulk packs (1650rds) from Wal-Mart thru the upper with 13 FTF/FTE, all ammo related.
The upper runs and runs and runs, fingers are sore from loading mags.
