So I cut up a bunch of milk jugs and melted them together in the oven. The resulting slab is about 1 1/4" thick. Can it stop a bullet? Don't cheat. Vote in the poll first, before you watch the test.

I'm going with YES. depending on the caliber but generally plastic is very good at absorbing the energy and stopping the bullet.
I'm sure a 44 mag or something similar would but a typical 9/40/45 probably not

Now the question is.... how thick would milk jug armor have to be to stop one of the other rounds....
You know there's some guy gluing ceramic tiles together and asking this same question... :laugh:

Funny you should mention that. This is a proof of concept for part of my larger open source armor project. The purpose was to determine whether it would be suitable as a backer for porcelain floor tiles. Stay tuned for the next thrilling installment.
