NV filter question

I have a new pvs 14 and a trijicon rmr dual illumated dot sight. Trijicon rmr is not NV compatable....I tried it and the dot has very little bloom almost ok. So I get a 720nm ir filter, wow now no dot thatsoever. maybe 650...680.NM need input from the pros...:confused:
