Hey everyone. Have not been here in awhile as I did something dumb a couple years ago and sold my AR. Well, want to get another and wonder if you all could give me your best idea of what you think this LMT 5.56 is worth. It is used and in very good condition. I would say it is an 8 out of 10 and comes as you see it. I want to make sure it is a decent deal. Had an LMT the last time and would like another.3700337004

If that is a MRP perhaps $1000 tops. I know that new the MRPs are around $1500+ but quite frankly in the world of new $800-$850 Colts I would have a hard time paying much more than a $1000 for a used rifle.

Yes, it is an MRP. Thought it might be worth a tad more than that so glad I asked, thank you. Where can you get a Colt for $800-850? Around me they are about $950-1050 if you can find one.

An "out of stock" item isn't much help to the OP. Good luck finding any 6720's out there right now.

6920 at LGS around $950 here. Are they gone in most places? If so, i'd grab that LMT.

The LMT has a rail and the mod(?) stock, so add another $400+ to the colt to get up the LMT. Also does the LMT have the 2 stage trig? Add another $150. Get the LMT. The rail has another $30+ in rail covers too.

I think the LMT might be the better deal, particularly if you can get it under $1200.

If the gun has a low round count and is in good condition, and that is what you want, then get the LMT. I'd echo the comment above about the cost of the rail, etc. being factored into your decision. However, if you like the Colt then go for it.

At the end of the day, you are the one who is going to have to live with the purchase and be happy with what you got.

Having owned both I would take a slightly used LMT (with the rail) over a new Colt any day.

Would rather have this gun than the Colt actually. It has a single stage trigger which I prefer, but will eventually put in a Timney. I think it is worth his asking price, but I might be able to get it for less so I will try.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I did not want to spend this much on an AR as money is tight, but I love this style LMT so I might. Heck, if I got the Colt and put a rail and SOPMOD on it the price would be more than this LMT. It would be new though.

It's worth more than 1k. Based on the pics, it's worth 1200 so if you can get it less than that it's a good deal.
