Thanks for the links, I found it interesting that they give the actual eBay for a supersonic bullet going nearby (155 dB). From working in rifle pits at an NRA high power match I can attest that they are loud. The sonic boom of bullets going over head seemed just as loud as the muzzle blast did from the firing line. It is certainly nothing near as tame as the zip noise in movies.

Nice to see that this data is still being posted elsewhere as well.

Since that time there has been many suppressor tests conducted here in Finland, both product comparisons and studies on environmental noise. In many of which, Dr Pääkkönen has been involved as well.

Good friend and my old boss is the guy shooting the DP-27 from the hip ;)
