View Full Version : Prvi PPU 5.56x45mm NATO M193
I see 2 different versions of this, looks like just the box, but product code
is PP 52 for the cube and PP 521 for the longer box.
Both product descriptions are identical. Anyone know why?

I have some of that square box. It had some rough stuff around some case mouth edges. Not all. Worked fine.
FWIW when I started high power shooting (200-yards, offhand & aperture sights) I was advised 'by many' to use that PP52 ammo as good training feed until I had worked up a good load for my reloads. The regulars said 'if your AR likes it, it will hold/group better than the X-ring on the offcal target ... and it sure did.
Besides being very accurate, we've had great luck w/ the brass to boot!

Same here. The square box brass usually looks like it's been tumbled in a cement mixer but it shoots and reloads fine.
OK, just got a response from the distributor. The owner no less.
Just the box is different, the cube has the ammo stacked nose to tail
The long box has a plastic divider/holder.
I'll post some close up images when I get it.

Three 10-shot groups of the Priv Partizan M193 were fired in a row from a distance of 100 yards. The groups had extreme spreads of:
2.72”
3.89”
3.74”
for a 10-shot group average extreme spread of 3.45”. All three of these groups were over-layed on each other using RSI Shooting Lab to form a 30-shot composite group. The mean radius for the composite group was 1.01”.

....
If I'm not mistaken, the X ring on a 200 yd HP rifle target is 3", the 10 ring is 7". There might be someone out there that can shoot 3" groups offhand at 2 hundy with a peep, but it ain't me.
Molon, I just saw your reference to 1.43 MOA for the X ring on the 200 yd target. Are you sure on that, or is my reference to 3" incorrect?
