How rare are these suckers? I just recently acquired it in a trade

I haven't seen many. It is circa 2005.

Was the entire run of ODs from pre-2010 all non MIM?

I have a G30 from that original run that my wife bought me from a pawn shop.

Love it (and her).

What's a "Non-MIM Glock 19 OD"?

No MIM parts in the gun like the locking block, firing pin and extractor.

I believe Glock switched to MIM parts after 2009 on all guns. I am not a guru on the color schemes...so I couldnt tell you when the OD frame was discontinued

I've got a 2009 gun I put away as a back-up. Do they go for more than the more recent ones?

It's not really the thing people think it is. But hey, it's the internet.

OD used to be a regular factory offering and you could get them via blue label as well. I have an 05/06 OD G26 Gen 3 purchased via Blue Label. It has the LCI extractor though.

All MIM is not created equal. Serial numbers w/ prefixes prior to M/N are usually good to go.

My understanding is Glock switched MIM suppliers around that time. Glock isn't the only one who had issues with small parts suppliers. SIG had similar issues.

HK uses lots of MIM in their pistols but they are also is one of the few companies that still makes most of their gun in house so they can control QC.

I thought this psychosis only effected the 1911 community.

Glock firing pins are not MIM. Glock makes their own MIM parts.

I don't have a psychosis against MIM parts...its just a thread about how rare, if any...a non-mim OD Green Glock 19 is....that is it no more no less

Agreed Firing pins are not MIM - but Glock does not make all their own small parts anymore - they haven't for 15-20 years. In fact, contracting out small parts is actually the norm, rather than the exception in the firearms industry.

Well darn! I was hoping to trade it for a Mustang or something... J/K.

No matter how one spins it, Glocks will never be collectable. MIM, non-MIM, it just doesn't matter. Shoot it.

Glock makes everything except a couple of springs.

Tell that to this guy on Gunbroker (# 538708445) with a Gen 1 19. $2400 and counting as of right now.

For a Glock.

A Gen 1 Glock that is a prototype of the 19 where they basically took a hacksaw to a 17 frame. Definitely worth 5 or 6 new Glocks and counting...

I stand corrected! I'm a Glock guy through and through but jeez! Those guys bidding are nuts. Banged up frame, holster wear, burned out replacement sights, that ugly police billboard, no box... I do not see the value. Someone explain to me why that thing is worth more than a couple hundred?

Less than 20 of those exist. I cannot wait to see where it ends at.

I understand the rarity but it's not a like new in box, all original, never fired, near mint condition. Then I might understand. Banged up two pin frame, worn out slide finish with PD markings, dead aftermarket night sights? I don't think so. I'd bet all of the internals have been replaced with newer MIM parts!

I'd give the guy $150, chop the grip and stipple. Cerakote the slide and cut it for an RMR. Just kidding.

There weren't any actual Gen 1 19's available to the public. The Gen2 series is when the G19 was introduced for purchase.
I would love to know how someone got their hands on an original 19, that one looks real....Someone is going to pay a ton of money for that old thing.

Maybe they are more rare, but to what end? Carrying a price premium?
