I have been on an SBR kick for a while (14 so far) and realized I have never had an UZI. Decided to remedy that with the new UZI Pro Pistol. Paper filed Form1's are a little faster these days taking only 16 weeks mailbox to mailbox. As a pistol it is blocky, heavy and cumbersome, but with a stock attached it is a whole other animal. TitleII Arms makes an excellent folding stock mechanism coupled with a Mission First stock and this little puppy really performs. Great ergonomics, almost no recoil, suppresses well and 32 round mags are pretty cheap ($22). UZI did it wright putting the charging handle on the side and adding a picatinny rail to the top cover.

I have a micro Uzi in Israel, that I added a vertical front grip to by attaching it to the barrel retention nut. That little gun won me more money on different IDF and police ranges, it shot that good. It was compact and easy to carry backed up with my issue Hi Power.

Can you post a picture of how you attached the buttstock to the Uzi Pro?

You've got to love that Czech 32 as well.

I will have to take a close up picture but you can see it pretty clearly in the bottom photo. The back of the UZI Pro has a dovetail groove on both sides and normally has a plastic cover over the groove with two roll pins holding the cap on. You drive out the two roll pins and slip the plastic cover off. Keep it if you want to revert to original configuration or throw it away as it is not needed. The stock hinge has the corresponding dovetail groove milled into it. Just slip the stock on but instead of using the two roll pins the stock comes with four set screws. Just tighten the screws down and you are good to go. It took all of 5 minutes to mount the stock.

Your explanation is really what I needed to know. Looks like I need one to go along with my Scorpion SBR.

You should think about an MP5K too.

I love mine.

What about the Brügger & Thomet MP9/MP9A1/TMP? I wonder how it compares to the UZI Pro in size, wieght, reliability, shootability, etc.

The TP9 SBR is awesome, as is the B&T MP9/TP9 suppressor. I had the opportunity to demo the the TP9 pistol, MP9 SMG, and suppressor last year and they are great. The suppressor looks bulky and heavy, but it is actually very light and is very efficient on account of its high volume.

For a semiauto very compact pistol caliber SBR, the tp9 is my personal favorite.
