Bought the below pistol the other day, partially out of curiosity, partially from hearing positive feedback, and partially (OK, mostly) the price. This was $283 OTD after transfer fee. Made by Sarsilmaz in Turkey, this is essentially a CZ-75 clone. In the spirit of "you get what you pay for", it comes with the chinsy blue plastic case and only one mag is included, although I've heard that some CZ mags will also work. Sarsilmaz evidently does their own injection molded frames in-house and even makes some or all of the cases. You don't even get the oil bottle which there is a spot in the case for.

Thought it might make a fun range blaster for me and the wife. Turkish guns seem to be quietly making some inroads into the market, although I doubt they'll make anyone forget Glock or S&W. For cheap guns, their QC appears to be decent, if not excellent.

I'd echo this. I picked up a Tisas 1911 for $350 from Buds. Put 850 rounds through it of the cheapest stuff I could find without any issues, then sold it for $400 when I got out of .45. Nice tight gun, clean machining and good finish, shot well.

No, I wouldn't carry it, and it certainly wouldn't replace my Glocks, Sigs, or old S&Ws, but they make fun blasters.

Enjoy!

I think everybody and his brother is making a CZ clone these days. Almost like they're the 1911 of this decade. Not that I'm complaining, I like CZs more than a little.
