m&p trigger sear case hardened?

I know an ar trigger is case hardened and changing angles is not good.

Thinking of this had me wondering about the m&p trigger. I'm thinking of modifying my sear to smooth it out some, but don't want to damage anything. Is this an issue or is the hardness the same throughout?

I don't know the answer but I have over 5,000 rounds through an M&P I modified the sear on and it shows no ill effects.

Before Apex came out with their hard sear many including me filed the sear reprofiling it based of Burwell's instructions. I ran my M&P like that at least a year or two before I got an Apex. No issues other than you can file to much off. David
