Hey all,

Been looking to get some custom gear done. Not been able to find anything comparable on the market already to what I'm looking for. Does anybody have any recommendations for quality custom gear makers that I could work with to get some stuff made?

Thanks in advance.

What kind of gear are you talking about? We need more details on what your looking for.

Sorry, I was on my phone when I made the OP. Looking to start with a chest rig as well as a couple of specific ammo pouches for 12 gauge ammo. A pouch similar to the shotgun ammo pouches that I'm looking for are made by Condor, but would much rather have something done with a bit better quality and not as over-done.

So mostly nylon gear.

Seriously you can't find a OTS chest rig that meets your needs?

That does not fit what I am looking for.

What is it that you need? Some of the manufacturers out there will modify their gear for you.

There's a feature I had found on a rig that I've not seen anywhere else. It was, for lack of a better term, a tab that had a 1x2 bit of PALS on it, as well as a part behind the PALS that was wide enough to fit a tek lok or other similar attachment. It was set up so you could attach either a PALS-compatible pouch or a Tek-lok to the side of the chest rig, but I'm wanting a 10x3 chest rig that has one of those little parts on either side. It's somewhat difficult to describe it exactly. The closest I've found to what I am looking for is the tactical tailor Mini-MAV, but it's still missing a few features that I am wanting in the rig.

The shotgun ammo pouch that I'm wanting is the same as the Condor "Shotgun reload pouch", but I'm wanting something like that that's a bit better quality than Condor...

Have you checked around on US gear sites??? Condor just copies what they do

I've not found the shotgun ammo pouch, no. As far as the rig goes, I've looked at a lot of chest rigs and it seems to be totally unique to that one rig.

I swear there's a couple other "tier 1" quality manufacturers that do a pouch like the condor one you're looking at. I feel like I just saw them too, just can't remember.
Until then, perhaps this pouch from Tyr will meet your needs?

Yeah I thought so, too. I didn't find any when I looked (may have missed a manufacturer, though). I may get one of those Tyr pouches to give a try. I just like the enclose nature of the preferred pouch design.
