Well I finally got my testing equipment in. And as fate would have it my new LaRue Stealth upper came in this morning too. :D

I should have my reviews completed by mid week. I have been wanting to get my hands on the DD lite rail and the LaRue billet upper for some time. Now is my chance to see how the DD will stack up to what’s on the market.

I'll work on the lighting for even better pics. Here is a teaser.......

What are you testing for? Is there something specific, or is this more of a general review?

Your above says testing equipment, but mentions writing reviews, so its a bit confusing.

Stick its more of a detailed review. But in order to be fair I wanted to have the equipment. Me saying this is better or worse proves nothing without having the right testing equipment to back up what I am saying. It makes the review unbiased and presents cold hard facts. I have a few more items I need to get, but what I have is a great start and will not delay these two reviews.

What equipment are you waiting on? Will you be using a machine rest to guage accuracy?

What equipment are you waiting on?

Not equipment items, new barrel, gas block and another CMT upper. Hopefully I'll get a chance to review a MUR down the road. I'm excited about the MUR and ordered a second barrel.

Will you be using a machine rest to guage accuracy?

No. The slab is as accurate as I need, along with the 123 blocks I think I will get a real good idea. The test indicator will be the big tell all as far as flex or bow in the rails. I plan on using it on my LaRue 12.0, 9.0, 7.0 and the new DD lite 9.0 along with checking the new LaRue billet and several other uppers I have on hand.

I would be even more interested in seeing a "shootout" between the Larue, Vltor, and a few quality regular uppers. :)

Haha... Yes that is a state of Texas logo. LaRue now has it's own line of barrels. :D It's a 16" 1/8 twist heavy polygonal barrel. I will be shooting it for the first time tomorrow. I have been trying to get to the range all week. :(

The upper is a complete LaRue Tactical upper. It was built by LT and shipped to my door. I drove Mark LaRue crazy asking him several times a day for weeks... Is it done yet, Is it done yet. :D

From close inspection its perfect. This thing is a work of art. :D No BS this has to be the nicest looking upper I have ever seen. I have always known LT made awesome rails and mounts but this upper is beyond belief. I can't wait to see what kind of groups I will get.

Hopefully I'll have the write ups done tomorrow so I can post my findings. I have been very impressed by this upper. I have found very little wrong with it. LaRue Tactical has just taken the AR15 to the next level. As these come out and people start shooting them the word will get out about the quality. I have a couple friends who are going with me tomorrow just to see how this thing shoots.

I'm in the process of building a new upper featuring the new LaRue upper. I plan to use a LaRue mid length rail and an SPRee mount. The only thing I need now is a LaRue barrel and F&R BUISs......what are the chances of that???? (hint).

PS....a lower would be nice also
