If you're a fan of the recent Bond Movies with Daniel Craig, you'll enjoy this new Bond movie. There's a lot to like about this Bond movie, and it's full of excellent supporting actors, exotic locations, solid action scenes, some Bond Gadgets, and pretty girls.

As with all Bond movies, a total suspense of disbelief a must to enjoy it (like wondering how one shoots down a helicopter with a .380 pistol from a moving boat, etc...) but that's par for the course with a Bond movie. At points, it takes itself too seriously which detracts from that classic Bond feel.

Personally, I like Craig as Bond and felt he re energized the Bond series and I'm sad to see him leave the franchise. The story is doing its best to keep up with modern times, but it getting old in the tooth at this point and feels formulaic at this point and outdated, but for die hard Bond fans, it was fun and well done and worth a watch for sure. The first 'scene' is actually one continuous shot. Pretty good craft.

I thought it was good, but there was something missing. Soul, which ironically this one should have had in spades- or that was the plan. I liked Skyfall because it showed the human side of bond, the fallibility- but the drive to win and overcome. Spectre seemed almost too formulaic to me. Not a bad movie- a good action movie, but I thought the Bonds had started adding some more depth to the characters. Of course, here I am looking for depth from a movie with a bad guy who has his secret lair in a meteorite crater.

They made Monica Bellucci seem dowdy. She looked better in the movie presser when they announced the cast. Was there anyone under 40 in the cast?

Craig supposedly is finished with the role, and like Peyton Manning, I think it is time for him to hang it up on a high note.

I put this one as #3 on the list of Craig Series Bond films. Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre and then Quantum of Why even bother?

Craig is still under contract for the next Bond film but is supposed to be starring in a new TV series and trying to get out of the tuxedo.

I never could get into Craig. Especially when he said Bond should seduce other dudes.

The last Bond movie I can say I thoroughly enjoyed was Goldeneye. Especially the N64 game.

But for me the best Bond is Connery.
Even Never say never again. And by extension The Rock where Connery's Bond got caught and imprisoned.

I'd sooner see a Strike Back movie.
And Judi Dench is probably the worst M ever. And the original Q, when he died...the Bond legacy died.

From now on they need to get Stonebridge snd Scott to handle business

"From now on they need to get Stonebridge snd Scott to handle business."

My thoughts exactly. I liked Skyfall because it involved character and actual storytelling. When I went to Spectre I kept waiting for a narrative to develop. After about an hour I gave up and left the movie.

I later dug out the "Strikeback" DVD to get my fix; it was markedly better. Got Season 3 ready to go and I will get everything that becomes available.

There's an old thread on this. I'll close the old one and let you guys carry on with this one. I guess we can say that this is a review of the DVD/Blue Ray release :)

As I said in the other thread, I enjoyed this movie, maybe not as good as Skyfall but I enjoy the entertainment value. I enjoy the nods that this one gave to the previous Bond series.

For Craig, I enjoy his portrayal of Bond more than Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton. Roger Moore was comical, I liked Connery's Bond but unlike others I prefer Craig's actions and darker portrayal of 007.

For the watch, the Omega Aqua Terra in Skyfall was the best :)

The Omega in this movie got shown for a few seconds then blow up, so perhaps Omega behind on their payments. Hard to call that one a "James Bond Watch" when it got no play time at all really.

Omega created a limited production watch just for the movie and most of them are sold out.

He wore at least two Omega in Spectre, the Seamaster 300 above that was given to him by Q and blown up. Before Q gave him that he wore a newer version of the Aqua Terra, the AT Master Co-Axial, a mouthful of name.

Only watch geeks followed those things. :) Most movie goers don't have a clue. Hell, my wife can't tell the difference between any of my watches.

Most movie product placement only get a glimpse of whatever it is, a Samsung cellphone or a Coke logo in the background. Same with Omega.

I loved the film, until the last sequence.

Of the Craig films I only cared for Casino Royale, which I rate up there with the classics like Dr. No and Thunderball.

At this point I'd rather see a retro Bond set in the sixties, the way they did Man from UNCLE.

I actually enjoyed it, but I would say it's a decent, middling Bond film. Not as good as Skyfall or Goldeneye but better than Die Another Day and Quantum of Solace.

I love James Bond. I have every movie on DVD and Blueray. I have 5 007 encyclopedias. I like the story modes and plots of the Rodger Moore and Timothy Dalton films but think Daniel Craig is the perfect Bond. Never cared for Sean or George.
