I have an mp 40 which is great that I use for uspsa production. I have a storm lake barrel 9mm conversion for a 9mm silencer. I'm set to reload 40 and carry the gun in factory condition. I shoot the gun well enough that 9mm vs 40 is not a factor for carry.

I want to keep 40 as I like options, and reloading for it vs 9mm is not much different.

Should I buy another mp 40 and mill the slide for rmr for carry and set up a frame for open division?

Or sell the m&p and buy a g22 with conversion barrel and six second mount for comps, and a g23 with conversion barrel for carry?
I can go between my mp 40 and a g19 and performance is about the same.

I don't like posting stuff like this, but I've gone back and forth a bunch of times and really don't know if one is much better than the next. Is the 6 sec mount worth swapping "platforms"? Do people see a significant performance increase with a fixed rds vs slide mounted?
