I am looking at getting a .300 BO shorty upper, 10.5 inches, no shorter than 9 (unless there is a compelling reason to give up velocity). Thus far, it seems like that best turn keys for this are from Aero Precision and Seekins Precision. I'd prefer a QPQ/nitrided 4150 barrel to chrome or stainless. Noveske and KAC are great, but extremely expensive. I'm not going to spend the cost of a complete rifle on an upper.
