(Not sure if this is appropriate vs Tactical Gear Section. Please move with apologies if I puked it)

After a number of tries and with long and various wait times on OWB rigs (Glock 19) I am hoping to get a recommendation.

I will be carrying this daily OWB (usually under a buttonup or with polo/light jacket) and am looking for the slimmest option to be carried at 3 with a straight drop.

Does not need a MOLLE options and 50/50 materials are just not my speed. Loops for 1.5" and paddle options would be nice.

I could really use some assistance. Most of the useful threads are 4+ years and aging.

Tried but no-go:

Raven Phantom & clones: too long front to back (it's like a wall of material)
G-Code OSH: rides out like a sidecar
BladeTech Eclipse: Fussy

I've tried a number of kydex holsters, but so far, none are appreciably better for me (same thing, OWB concealed carry) than the Glock $9 holster.

It's not a cool holster, it works. The retention is solid, and there isn't excessive material. My complaints with other holsters are essentially the same... too much material, or sits too far off the body. If I could find a Kydex holster that was exactly the same form factor as the Glock holster, I'd be all over it. The Galco M7X seems like a good alternative, but I've not used it.

I use a KT Mech "Gunfighter" OWB kydex. I use the thicker kydex and it's still thin and stays tight to the body.

Generic: http://www.kt-mech.com/i_gunfighter.html
G19/23/32 specific: http://www.kt-mech.com/models/GLK1923.html

I've pretty much stopped carrying IWB now, even during summer. In fact, I've got a couple more holsters on the way from them.

ETA: I'm 5'10" and 170 and normally wear a large polo shirt.

The c model specifically. I have one for my g19 and it's very minimalist. Great rig.

For the OP criteria, X Concealment cannot be beat. I use both X Concealment, and Raven, and prefer the Raven.

I carry my g27 in a C model. Excellent holster.

I generated the classic "box of holsters" before finding and now almost exclusively using X Concealment for probably 5 years now. I use for CCW, teaching others, range work, 3 gun comp., farm work etc...

http://www.x-concealment.com

I have a G19 C model for the Streamlight TLR - 1HL, one of the aspects I don't like is the lens of the light is exposed and the kydex doesn't fully protect it. Other than that one critique, they are a great do everything well holster. I'm hoping Streamlight will release a higher lumen competitive light to the Surefire XC -1, and when they do, I'll look for a new holster. Perhaps another X Concealment.

Also, I had a daily carry X-Concelament develop a crack at the belt attachment. It was several years old, lots of wear...I contacted them regarding a repair and they promptly sent me a new holster, no questions asked. Yeah, I'm a fan of their customer service too.

Raven Concealment Vickers and/or Hackathorn model. Slim, body hugging and comfortable.

Another vote for the bog-standard Glock sport holster. Very little can match its thinness and economics for a holster that will be beneath cover and not being shown off to friends and family.

Medium will fit almost everything, Large will fit larger frames and the M&P series.

What about JMC? Maybe their OWB Version 2 or contact them and see what they can do.

JM Custom Concealment. The design of the belt loops pulls the gun into the body, aiding in concealment. I'm about 5'11" and prefer the low height option as it doesn't poke me in the ribs like some of the other well known custom designs.

I carry over my kidney and use the 15 degree cant. This is my go-to OWB holster.

His single magazine pouches are excellent also.

+1!

I've been carrying Glocks for 23 years and after trying numerous holster I return to the Sport holster.

It just cannot be beat.

My EDC is a Glock 23 and the one I use now is 10 years old and still looks new and has had a pistol drawn from it over 5,000 times.

While you have received some good advice re: OWB holsters, given your concealment garments, I suggest considering an IWB holster. This will give you more flexibility in selecting concealment garments. With an extra 2" in your belt and pants waistband, comfort is about the same.

Unfortunately, IWB is not an option.

Yeah, and it makes you look like you got your clothes from the reject bin at Goodwill.

This is what I use for my PPQ. Top notch holsters. Can't go wrong with JM Custom.

K Rounds makes a nice OWB as well. I carry a G43 in one and like it. Keeps the gun tight on me.

(I carry OWB concealed only)

Nope. Comfort is not the same. I refuse to IWB. It's terrible for me. Tried for years with quality holsters. What works for one body type may not work for another, and what works for you may not work for another. If the guy wants to OWB, it's likely because he's built like me, and IWB is terrible for him.

This. Nothing like having my jeans all twisted and jacked up because I have a full size gun stuffed inside them on one side. IWB absolutely doesn't work for me. OWB all the way.
