I believe the 733 had a C7 upper (A1 handle with forward assist and she'll deflector.)

The 733 was found to have A1, C7, and A2 uppers as well as A1 and A2 lowers. It all depends on when they were assembled. I built my 733 with an A2 upper and lower.

Yeah it's kind of a huge catch all. I'm making a modern BCM version. 11.5" with an A1 carry handle receiver. Vltor A5 with skinny clamshells and and a CAR stock.
EDIT: basically what you just built!
According to the tracking info, my upper should be here tomorrow. I am having a heck of a time finding A1 rear sight parts on-line, any one have a source? Thanks.

Where do you see them on their sight? I have looked under both upper receiver parts, and sights/optics and have not found them. I even tried their search function and it came up with nothing.

You need to call them.

Ok thank you. Got the receiver in yesterday. I'll be actively searching for sight parts in the coming days/weeks.
Can I play? Nodak A1 upper arrived from Brownells today along with most of the small parts. I bought A1 rear sight assembly on gunbroker from Boywonder777.
I had an 11.5" HBAR on a flat top upper, so I was already most of the way there.
I swapped uppers this afternoon and was able to get it sighted in at 25 yds before it got too dark. It ran great. Good times.

That turned out well.

Very nice. Any issues with the Front Sight? I sold my slick side 11.5" BCM Frankenbuild bpupper. I wish I hadn't.

Front sight was left alone. I just popped the roll pin and removed the gas tube to move the barrel between uppers.
If you mean issues with front sight post height, It worked fine. I don't remember if this had a F-marked front sight or not. But I've got standard and tall sight posts. I was building a couple of other uppers at the time and I don't remember if I had to swap this one out or not.

Sorry I was asking about the height of your post. It looks great.

Update: it has a standard (non F-marked) FSB, but I had previously installed a taller post. The post is now screwed most of the way down but not bottomed out, and it is hitting point of aim at 100 yds.

Yeah, it would be cool if they did them in grey.

But the black matches my BCM lower better. And I'm probably going to end up rattle canning it anyway.

You can always order the upper from Nodak Spud. They finish them in black and XM Gray. The machining and finish is much better than what Brownells does. Mike and Harlan at Nodak Spud put a lot of time and effort in their receivers.
