I was at the range today and the gun would shoot on every 3rd or 4th round while getting light firing pins strikes on the primers of the cleared, non fired rounds. Round count is only 3150 rounds with no excessive dry firing. I put in an Azoom snap cap and the trigger is feeling very light and sounded weak, not like before. I think the firing pin or striker assembly has gone south.

Sounds like the striker is broken. It should be pretty easy to determine if that's the case. The striker is removed from the gun identically to the process for a Glock.

It's also possible that your striker channel is packed with some debris (this is more likely if it's just your imagination that the trigger pull suddenly feels lighter). Putting any lubrication or cleaning solvent in the striker channel can drastically exacerbate the problem.
