Nice work, not my "cup of tea".
That is one sexy beast Chuck. Well done!
Very nice looking! I wonder how much the "slide fluting" affects cycle time?

Dang, that is nice. Beautiful and business-like.
Do the slide and frame have different finishes applied, or is that just the lighting and my bad eyes?
Love it. Hope you're taking work again soon.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: You sir, are an artist. All of your work is amazing.

Would love to cover that pistol in powder residue.
WOW!
That's very impressive. Wanna touch... Wanna touch!!!
Cute, but does it shoot ?
25 or 50 yard test target with load info used for said test ?

Guess you don't know the builder........
Always amazed at the stuff that comes out of tha shop. Pretty slick looking and it's different too, pretty neat they keep figuring out ways to modify the 1911.

Only on the Internet can someone throw jabs at one of the greatest 1911 custom pistolsmiths of all time.
For those who "stumble" on to one of Chucks post without doing their research before hand; Chucks Guns are unequivocally the best of the best in terms of fit, finish, accuracy, and reliability. The fact that every custom pistolsmith of any notoriety hold Rogers Precision Builds in the highest regards is testament to the quality of Chucks- dare I say "legend."
I own a few 1911's and my Rogers Build is a shooter through and through as it was ententionally designed to be.

My thoughts exactly when I saw AM-15's post. It was like, I truly hope this person is just ignorant of the fact that the OP is who he is.
That's one beautiful 1911! I'm always amazed by some of the custom work I see.
To be totally honest, did not mean to strike a nerve by asking a simple question.
My shooting diciplines are Bullseye and International, which is all one handed at 50 yards and 25 yards.
10 meter for air pistol.
Maybe it was the "cute" term ?
Well you can describe any gun in any way you want.
His guns are cute to me.
My wife is beautiful and all others are cute :)
No, I have never heard of the pistol smith and that is why I asked the question.
Every one has their needs for their disciplines that they engage in.
The pistol smiths I know are K.C. Crawford(but he does not take any more work, retired but experiments), David Salyer(have a couple of his builds), Tony Kidd, David Sams and the late James Clark Sr.(still shoot one of his long slides from the 60's that ransom rests a 50 yard, 10 shot group of 1.760", X ring).
So no; I do not know all of the hundreds of pistol smiths around today but if I am dropping coin on a cute pistol it better meet my needs of 1.5" at 50 yards, give or take.
I will take an accurate ugly gun over an inaccurate cute gun any day.
If that pistol will shoot to my standards, then I will give it some thought.
That is all my intentions were with my question.
Up to the "internet" to decide if I am a troll or not

I've never been a fan of Hi-Powers in large part due to the slide flats, but they really sing with this one. And the top serations look fantastic. I'd love to put a few mags through it.
Serious, I see two tones between slide and frame too. I'd have done the barrel to match the frame color.
