Barrelled Upper ID?

A buddy of mine recently bought an AR from a private party. The guy he bought it from supposedly bought the upper and lower separately, then assembled them. The lower is DPMS but he's wondering exactly where the upper came from. It is a standard 20" A2 upper with "B MP 5.56NATO 1/9 H BAR" stamped on the barrel. Can anyone tell me what the "B MP" means or maybe who manufactured this upper. There are no other markings that we could find.

It's a Bushmaster barrel.

Thanks M4. I guess that would explain the horrible staking job on the carrier key!:rolleyes: Don't worry we took care of it. He paid $600 for the thing and it only had 20-25 rounds through it (which was confirmed by an inspection of the internals) Don't think he got hurt at all.
